This is the YA contemporary novel that both my sister and I have been anxiously awaiting, and I am beyond excited that it is out today! The story sounds insanely charming (keep scrolling if you want to read the summary), and I started following Sandhya and she seems like the sweetest, most adorable author. Also, she loves Bollywood movies and her newsletter is called “Cupcakes and Tea with Sandhya Menon,” so….that’s like an instant win in my book! (If you are interested in following this author, here is Sandhya’s website.)

Do yourself a favor today and go pick up or order a copy of this beautiful and adorable novel, and enjoys the contemporary FEELS!

Goodreads summary:

“A laugh-out-loud, heartfelt YA romantic comedy, told in alternating perspectives, about two Indian-American teens whose parents have arranged for them to be married.

Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. If they truly believed she needed a husband right now, they wouldn’t have paid for her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers…right?

Rishi Patel is a hopeless romantic. So when his parents tell him that his future wife will be attending the same summer program as him—wherein he’ll have to woo her—he’s totally on board. Because as silly as it sounds to most people in his life, Rishi wants to be arranged, believes in the power of tradition, stability, and being a part of something much bigger than himself.

The Shahs and Patels didn’t mean to start turning the wheels on this “suggested arrangement” so early in their children’s lives, but when they noticed them both gravitate toward the same summer program, they figured, Why not?

Dimple and Rishi may think they have each other figured out. But when opposites clash, love works hard to prove itself in the most unexpected ways.”

Les Petits Bonheurs #27…

Labor Day weekend was pretty crazy this year! School and work have kept me busier than I would like, and I wish that I had the energy to read for fun after finishing work and studying. Sadly, it has been about a month since I have picked up a book for enjoyment, but that did not stop me from going crazy at Barnes and Noble this last week with buying every book and vinyl record that I could get my hands on. Yeah, call me greedy, but when there are amazing sales and 40% off the vinyl soundtrack of Disney’s”Cinderella,” one must become a little cupide, as the French say. And let me tell you, the music from “Cinderella” has never sounded better than it does on vinyl, and I just adore relaxing to this classic soundtrack!

Over the weekend, I also decided to get another vinyl by one of my favorite artists, and I might have also bought, like, five other books. For blog related research, of course…

I’m still cringing at how much I spent, but seriously, how can a girl resist the most magical store on earth when it has a 40% coupon just calling her name? It came to the point where my battery had to die on my computer before I could stop purchasing books and vinyl albums.

Yeah, we’re going to be paying those items off for a little bit, but it was a wild ride! Thanks for visiting my blog today, and hopefully I’ll see you soon with a new review!

Fangirl Friday #10…Things I’m Fangirling Over

Okay, so today I had to scrape together a slightly haphazard post because I was in class this morning and the need to study for an exam got the better of me, but I do have something to share with you! Alright, here are a few things that I have been fangirling over this week!

60a9a28e5939a6deb9353547a348dc72“The Sweet Trilogy” by Wendy Higgins. It’s not included in the picture, but my favorite book in this trilogy was actually “Sweet Temptation,” Kaidan’s companion novel, and my second favorite book was definitely “Sweet Peril.” I loved the character growth that happened in these books!

“Handwritten” by Shawn Mendes. My sister recommended this CD to me and it is amazing, and “Handwritten” also went really well with Wendy’s book, “Sweet Temptation”! *happy sigh*

book Leigh Bardugo Six of Crows

“Six of Crows” by Leigh Bardugo. I read it last week and ended up really liking it, and I have a review for it in the works!

“A Mad Zombie Party” by Gena Showalter is the prettiest book in this series, and I am really looking forward to reading my copy this coming week!

I pre-orded the limited edition signed poster and signed copy of “Their Fractured Light” by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner with my sisters, and we are SUPER excited for them to come!

pushing daisiesOh, yeah, and Barnes and Noble had a coupon this week, so I bought a couple more books that I don’t have space for but still wanted. I just cannot resist the pull of that store!

Thanks for joining me for my random Fangirl Friday post this week! Have a good weekend!
